What to expect on my 1st visit?
When you make plans to visit a church for the first time, you naturally wonder what to expect. We want you to experience the inspiring music, helpful messages, and friendly atmosphere we enjoy at People’s Church, so here’s what you can look forward to ...When you turn into the parking lot of the LaQuinta Inn in Elmsford, you'll see red flags marking "guest parking" along the right/south side. You'll see a sidewalk leading to our entrance and a few smiling faces waiting to welcome you. After you step into our lobby, a refreshment table is there on your right. Help yourself to a cup of coffee or juice, or to any fruit or baked goods prepared for you. Keep walking and you'll see our main sanctuary entrance on the right. The entrance to our "Jungle" (kids ministry) is after that, also on the right. Just a little farther, you'll see men's and women's restrooms on the left.
Our services start at 10am with inspiring music. Some songs are performed for you; others we sing together. The lyrics are always projected on a screen to make it easy for everyone to sing along. Our music is an upbeat blend of old and new songs. The pastor’s message is always designed to be constructive, encouraging, and biblical. We talk about real life issues in today’s language, and the messages are geared to help you reach your potential in every arena of life -- at home, work, and school. And our Sunday gatherings are generally 90 minutes long.
We won’t point you out publically, and you won’t have to introduce yourself to the congregation. Feel free to scout out the new church in town and see what you think. If you haven’t been to church in a while, we think you’ll find a Sunday experience at People’s Church refreshing. If you’re full of questions or ready to jump in, People’s Church has you in mind!
