The People's Church Story

God gave the Dapices a relentless dream to plant a musical church that aggressively loves God and serves people, a church that inspires and instructs people to have a vibrant relationship with God. After living near Chicago for 11 years, Rocco and Jennifer had five hundred dollars to their name, just before they trekked back to their home state of New York in September of 2006. Pastor Rocco admits that he was either crazy or called to launch a new church in Westchester County.

Around three months after the Dapices arrived, People’s Church began in Tarrytown with a Grand Opening Christmas Concert. God began bringing people together from Westchester, Dutchess County, and Fairfield County to worship, sing, serve, and learn on Broadway in Tarrytown. Today the congregation meets in Elmsford on Sunday mornings, and is comprised of individuals and families driving in from an hour radius. People's Church is a diverse demographic from Dobbs Ferry, Armonk, Yonkers, Elmsford, Beacon, Bridgeport, Bronx, Sleepy Hollow, Valhalla, White Plains, Chappaqua, Portchester, Hartsdale, Beacon, Ardsley, Ossining, Yorktown Heights, Irvington, Pleasantville, Tarrytown, Mamaroneck, all over.
